Hotspots: How to Reset

Like all things electronic, sometimes our NVMI Hotspots start to act up. If you can’t connect to your hotspot, or your hotspot seems to be not working, you should try a HARD RESET.

Look for your Hotspot # below since each has slightly different instructions.

If you have a Hotspot labeled HV-##

  1. Make sure the hotspot is turned on. (Lights on the front will be on)
  2. Look along the edge of the back cover for a slot to help you remove the back cover. Remove the back cover.
  3. To the right of the battery, there is a recessed Reset button. (There is a letter R next to it)
  4. Use a paper clip (or something very thin) to gently PRESS AND HOLD the Reset button, WHILE you watch the lights on the front of the hotspot. (DON’T USE A PEN OR PENCIL since they are usually too big to fit and they leave marks)
  5. KEEP HOLDING THE RESET BUTTON and in about 20-30 seconds, the lights will flash briefly and then ALL lights will come on while it resets.
  6. Then wait until you have blue lights in the Signal Bars indicator (which shows that it has made a connection to the network.)
  7. Now replace the back cover try using your NVMI hotspot again.
