LA Mission College Classes

MISSION COLLEGE: NVMI hopes offer a periods 1/2 "combination" Mission College English 21/English 28 course beginning in August and ending in December.  Students who already took the placement test and placed into either of these classes who are interested in taking the class should see Ms. Tejada in the college center, room 54, right away.  If you have not done an assessment for Mission College but are interested in taking an English class, please see Ms. Tejada to apply, get a Student ID number, and get assessed right away.  Taking these college classes is an excellent way to help ensure that you graduate with your bachelor's degree on time, because a great many students natonwide get stuck taking remedial classes when the are college freshmen, and it takes them longer than four years to complete their degrees.  The English 21/28 courses are the prerequisites for English 101, which we will offer in the Spring.  Students who complete English 101 with us through Mission College in the spring will have completed their COLLEGE FOUNDATIONAL ENGLISH REQUIREMENTfor any Cal State, UC, or private college or university.  If students or parents have any questions, please see Ms. Tejada in room 54, our amazing new college and career center.

Ms. Tejada will offer DAILY workshops to apply to Mission College before school, lunch, and after school.
